The sudden passing of Darlene Lauris
Dobson, 61, of Dorchester, NB, occurred on Tuesday,
October 29, 2019. Born in Sackville, Darlene was the only
daughter of Helen (nee McKinnon) and the late Raymond
Phinney.
Darlene was a member of the Holy
Trinity Anglican Church, Dorchester.
Darlene’s
life philosophy was to care for others, whether it was at work or home
and in the community. She was always planning and
organizing fundraisers and social functions to bring people
together. She was always one to put other’s needs
before her own.
She will be dearly missed by
her husband of thirty-seven years, Gaius Dobson, of Dorchester; her
children, Andrew, Jonathan and Chris; her mother, Helen; as well as
three brothers, Malcolm (Brenda) Phinney, Gregory Phinney,
and Jeffrey Phinney; her Aunt Leona (George) Addie; cousin, Naomi
(Ron) Kirkbride, and several nieces and nephews and close
cousins.
Darlene was predeceased by her father,
Raymond.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville (506-364-1300) from where a time of visitation will
be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6-8
pm. A funeral service will take place at the Holy
Trinity Anglican Church, Dorchester, on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at
2 pm, with interment to follow in the Dorchester Rural
Cemetery.
Donations in Darlene’s memory may be
made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Holy Trinity Anglican
Church.
