The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Renfrew Hospice, (October 29, 2019) at the age of 80 years. Husband of the late Carmen (née Gervais) Lafortune. Son of the late Raphael and the late Ernestine (née Sabourin) Lafortune. Loving father of Daniel Lafortune (Patricia), Sylvie Lafortune-Black (Fred) and Josée Lafortune (Luke Procher). Predeceased by his brothers Gerard (Lorraine), Fernand (Patsy) and by his sister Jeannine. Cherished grandfather of Marc (Nicolle), Scott, Mathew, Cara, Emma-Lee, Sophie, John and great-grandfather of Blake and Rowan. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel, Friday, November 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. Donations by cheque or online to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Northern Cancer Foundation are appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
