Cheryl passed away peacefully at Muskoka Shores after a brief illness. Cheryl was the beloved daughter of Beverley John Cope and Jessie Mabel Fry. Sister of Dawn Stephen (Morley). Aunt of Leann (Brad) Wallace, Richard (Jen) Stephen and Great Aunt of Mitchell and Julie Wallace, Tyler and Alexander Stephen.
Cheryl was raised in Port Carling and despite her many challenges went as far as grade 10 in school. She was a member of the Port Carling United Church where she sang solos and participated in church activities when she was young. Cheryl was known for the many beautiful rugs that she hooked and gave away. She loved doing puzzles and for the past years spent hours doing word searches. Cheryl was very independent and determined. She lived life with a positive attitude. A big thank you to everyone who allowed Cheryl to live a life where she never thought of herself as a person with a disability. Special Thanks to Dr. Daniel and the staff at Muskoka Shores for the compassion, kindness and love they always showed Cheryl and her family. Donations in Cheryl’s memory may be made to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Port Carling United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Messages of condolences may be left for the family at www.reynoldsfuneral.com.
