After a long struggle with health problems, the death occurred very peacefully at the Souris hospital on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 of Anastashia “Stashie” the wife of the late Harold MacKinnon.
Mother of Mary Colbert (Donnie) and Helen Deagle (Darryl); grandchildren Chelsey and Michelle Colbert, Dale Deagle (Courtney Steele), Deanne O’Hanley (Josh); 3 great-grandchildren (that she said was the best medicine in the world) Jace and Julie O’Hanley, Xavier Deagle and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters Georgina Morrison, Rena Messervey, Mary Wilson, Clara Marshall and by one brother Frank Russell.
Predeceased by her parents Ernie and Ruth (MacDonald) Russell, brothers Emmett, Alvin, Eldon, Eugene and Gerard Russell and her sisters Theresa Easlick and Ann Masters. The family would like to thank Dr. Berrow and the wonderful staff at the Souris Hospital. Extra hugs to Helen’s kitchen family.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral where a private visitation will be held by personal request. A committal service will be held in the St. Peters Bay Church Cemetery on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 10:30 am. If so desired, memorial donations can be made to the St. Peters Fire Department or the Souris Hospital.
