Wayne Travis
1955-2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Wayne Travis of
Bloomfield, NB, announces his passing which occurred on September 4,
2019 at his home, in his chair where he was most comfortable. Born in
Toronto, ON, on April 7, 1955, he was the son of the late Allison and
Irene (Connell) Travis.
Wayne loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever he
could. In his younger years, he was involved with canoe racing and arm
wrestling, in which he won many trophies. Wayne’s nickname
was «McGiver» to many of his family and friends as he was
known for fixing just about anything.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Trisha (Raven) Travis &
loving dog, Hoover of Bloomfield, NB; children: Krissy
«Boober» Travis (Shane James) of Bloomfield, NB, Adam Travis
and his wife Jenna of Southfield, NB, and Jeff Travis and his wife
Tanya of Hampton, NB; step-children: Kayla Raven (Mike Edling) and
Krista (Jordan) Steane; grandchildren: Conner Brooks, Tristen Travis,
Robyn Travis, Cole Travis, Kiera Travis, Rilynn Travis and Brantley
Travis; step-grandchildren: Xavier, Parker, Justice, Zander, Everly,
Georgia and Margo; siblings: Harold (Carol) Travis, Nancy (Dave)
Wheaton, Heather Hensbey, Dwayne Travis, Cecil Travis and Marcelle
Travis; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Wayne
was predeceased by his granddaughter, Jessica Miller.
The family would like to express a special thank you to
Wayne’s best friend, Mikey Long. Thank you from the bottom
of our hearts for always being there throughout the years. Your
kindness and friendship meant so much to Dad and will not be
forgotten.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home
(506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A Graveside service
will take place in celebration of Wayne’s life on Sunday,
September 8, 2019 at 1:00pm in Big Rock Cemetery, Bloomfield, NB.
Reception to follow.
