Rudolph (Rudy)’s Obituary
Rudy passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 90 on Friday September 20, 2019. Beloved husband of Agnes for 64 years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Gary and Donna, and Sylvia and Barry. Much loved Opa of Taylor. Loving brother and brother-in-law to Irene and the late John Ivancsics.
Rudy will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousin and friends in Hungary, Austria and in Canada. A dedicated steelworker with over 25 years of service with Stelco, Rudy will also be remembered as a hardworking, proud stall holder at the Hamilton Farmers’ Market who produced and sold apples and pears alongside with his wife, Agnes, for over 30 years. Special thanks to all medical and support staff that provided wonderful care for Rudy including, the LHIN/CCAC and Bayshore PSWs. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL (43 Barton St. E) on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. with Vigil prayers at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will offered at the Cathedral, Basilica Of Christ the King (714 King St W, Hamilton) on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family. www.canadahelps.org/en/donate/
