Obituary
Rose Bertsch passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the age of 85 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Dean Bertsch and Peggy (Patrick) Secord; grandchildren Charity, Craig and Toneille; 7 great grandchildren; sisters Madeline Shroh, Helen (Tony) Kopp and Philis (George) Wilderman; brother Vince (Gail) Meier; sister-in-law Alice Meier; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Anton Bertsch, son Ross Bertsch, brother Joe Meier and sisters Cecilia Deibert, Katie Heitt and Delores Kalinsky.
Rose was born in Unity, SK and raised on the family farm near Denzil, SK. While working at her fathers store, she met the love of her life Anton. They were married and then made Calgary their home. Her and Anton attended Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. She enjoyed dancing and curling and playing cards and horse shoes. Rose’s family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the staff of Southwood Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
A Funeral Service will be held for Rose at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525-45 Street S.E., Calgary) on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11:00 am.
