Mary and Jim married on April 17, 1947 and immigrated to Canada, settling in Wallaceburg. Together, they worked together to build the Lapointe-Fisher Nursing Home where Mary worked various roles. Later in life, they enjoyed traveling back to England, all over Europe and had many enjoyable winters in Florida. They hosted many family and friends within their Florida home over the years. Mary enjoyed sewing and knitting items for other people. She partnered with Jim in his involvement with the YMCA and Ontario Nursing Home Association where Jim was President, and she became involved in any way that she could assist.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marianne & Anna for their longtime compassionate and loving care for both Mary and Jim.
There will be a Private, Family Memorial Service and Interment at Craford Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary to Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
