At the Dundas Manor Nursing Home, Winchester, on Saturday, September 28, 2019, Ken Carruthers, formerly of Morewood, age 81. Loving husband of Marilyn Carruthers (nee Steinburg). Loving father of Lee of Iroquois, Douglas (Tammy) of Crysler, Pattie Barber (Ron) of Crysler and Tracey Thatcher (David) of Chesterville. Dear brother of Leanna Barrington of Russell, Jean Walker of Avonmore and Stewart Carruthers (Muriel) of Embrun. Ken will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Daniel, Ashley (Shawn), Kaitlin, Laura, Savannah (Nolan), Brittany (Elliott), Kylie, Jason, Jeremy (Courtney), Allison (Colin), Derik, Rebecca, William, MacKenzie (Riley) and 15 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his grandson Ryan, his infant sister Ellen and his brothers Hector and Bruce Carruthers. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
A public graveside service will be held at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville, on Saturday, October 5th at 11 a.m. followed by a celebration of Ken’s life at the Morewood R.A. Centre from noon – 4 p.m. There will be an opportunity to share memories of Ken at 2 p.m. Donations to Dundas Manor, Winchester Hospital or Christ Church United would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
