Obituary
Joseph Coptin passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the age of 88 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years Patricia; sons Dale (Angela) Coptin and Randall Coptin; granddaughters Lisanna and Jaelyn; sister Pearl Tongs; and many more family and friends.
Joseph was born and raised in Calgary, a true native Calgarian. He loved to fix anything and everything that he could. Once when Joseph was fixing a motorcycle for a nephew, he accidentally ran it into a neighbours garage while testing it. He broke his leg, but it ended up introducing him to a nurse that was to become the love of his life, Patricia Olsen. They were married and then blessed with two sons. Joseph was proud of his 42 years spent working as a cement truck driver for Consolidated Concrete. He was a hard worker and earned the top driver spot while there. In addition to fixing anything that needed it, he also enjoyed old cars and traveling with Patricia. Joseph had a big heart and loved his family most of all. He would do anything for his family.
At Joseph’s request, a private family service will be held. If friends so desire, donations may be made to either STARS (foundation.stars.ca/AB-tributegift) or the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation (childrenshospital.ab.ca/donate).
