Peacefully, at Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Alexandria, on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Jean Paul Prieur of North Lancaster; age 95 years. Beloved husband of the late Marie-Jeanne Prieur (née Provost). Dear father of Dennis Prieur (Jane) of North Lancaster, Michel Prieur (Lise) of Alexandria, Donald Prieur (Lise) of Green Valley, Josceline Hamelin (Marcel) of Vankleek Hill, Colette Titley of Alexandria, Richard Prieur (Jackie) of Alexandria and John Prieur (Natalie) of Lancaster Heights. Dear son of the late Edouard and the late Laura (née Hamelin) Prieur. Proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Madeleine Blondin. Predeceased by his siblings Cecile St. Louis (late Lionel), Leon (late Soulange), Gerard (late Diane), Raymond (late Margo), Gaston (Jaqueline), Thérèse Amesmann (late Al) and Urbain (Denise Miron). Family and friends are requested to gather at the Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 2-4 & 7 – 9 pm and Saturday from 9 – 11 am. A Celebration of The Word will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11 am. A reception will follow. A private interment will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to La Fondation de l’Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
