Unfortunately, on Thursday July 4, 2019, Greg was taken from us suddenly in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Calgary, Greg moved with his family to Spruce Grove in 1963 and attended Stony Plain Memorial High School. Following graduation, he worked for the Credit Union for 10 years in both Stony Plain and Entwistle before opening a liquor store and tire shop in Evansburg. For the last few years, he owned two school buses. Over the last 40 years though, his passion was raising cows, horse, dogs and even chickens. He and Karen also recently returned from the trip of a lifetime on a European River Cruise.
Greg is predeceased by his father Len, mother Bernice and brother Garth. He will be sadly missed by Karen, his wife of 47 years; his three sons Glen, David (Tanya), and Brian (Colleen); his 8 grandchildren Chance, Shane, Jessica, Aidyn, Charlie, Rayn, Katrina and Hudson; his sister Jeanette and husband Ron Goerz; his aunt Dolena from Vancouver; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and, of course, a number of great friends.
Greg’s personality filled a room and no dance floor will be the same without his two step.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Greg Gibb..
