Edward Jerome Taylor, husband of Laurie (Hachey) Taylor of Chaplin Island Road NB, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday September 21, 2019 at Kelowna General Hospital, at the age of 81.
Born in Nordin NB, he was the son of the late Fred and Jane (Duffy) Taylor. He was a retired operator for the former REPAP, a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, past member of Newcastle Lions Club, an avid Blue Jays Fan and also a cherished pop to many.
Besides his wife Laurie, he is survived by one daughter Elaine Campbell (Ross) of Summerside PEI, two sons; Larry Taylor of Kelowna BC and Paul Taylor (Angela) of Lloydminster Alberta, three sisters; Hazel Whalen (Terry) of Miramichi, Helen McGrath of Miramichi and Mary Rose Duffy of Riverview NB, one brother Clarence Taylor (Gloria) of Miramichi, ten grandchildren; Mike (Julie), Erik (Sue), Derek, Adam (Alice), Mark, Megan, Alex (Brigitte), Laurie (Philip), Zachary, and Shanon (Jeremy), ten great grandchildren; Riley, Jackson, Daxon, Reinan, Brynley, Dawson, Maia, Alea, Harper and Wynn.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother Francis Taylor.
Edward Jerome Taylor is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Sunday, September 29 from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday September 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Antonio Reyes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
