Dulcie was born on May 8th, 1935 to the late Joseph and Rose Lane. She is predeceased by her husband of 59 years Allister Cross. Dulcie leaves with loving memories her 8 children Donna Pardy (Greg), Shelia Rideout (Bruce), Kirk Cross, Marilyn Brewer (Phil), Debbie Arnold (Orven), Jacquie Sinclair (Paul), Glynden Cross (Diane) & Calvin Cross. She will always be lovingly remembered by her 16 grandchildren and 11 great – grandchildren. Dulcie is predeceased by her sister Eva Warren (Jim) and leaves with fond memories her brothers Clarence Lane (Lucy), Jessie Lane (Delphine) and sisters Ann Waterman (Gerald) and Muriel Pitcher (Atwood).
Dulcie’s main focus in life was devotion to her family and her faith. Her home was the gathering place for family and friends. Many happy times were shared singing songs, enjoying a cup of tea and watching baseball. She had a great sense of humor and was game to participate in anything for a laugh. She loved the outdoors and especially fishing. One of her favourite pastimes was writing and she documented her life through journaling. She was a long-time member of The Salvation Army and very involved in the Home League, as was her mother and grandmother before her. Dulcie was a selfless person always focused on others and lived a life to be admired.
