Cheyanne MacDonnell Poirier, age 54, of Lincoln, NB, passed away on September 16, 2019. Born in Labrador City, NL, she was the daughter of Angus MacDonnell and the late Ethyle (nee Pickard) MacDonnell.
Cheyanne is survived by her loving son Cole Poirier (Keisha), special friend Brian Boone; life-long friend Brenda Williams (Ross); brothers Audie MacDonnell (Heather); Troy MacDonnell (Ann); special niece and nephew Jessie and Patrick MacDonnell, and ex-husband David Poirier (Paula). She is predeceased by both maternal and paternal grandparents, her mother Ethyle, and two brothers: Ricky and Hamlin (Hammy) MacDonnell.
Cheyanne was a health records technician at Dr. Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB for the past 24 years. She was well respected in her office and around the province as a true professional who excelled at her job. She took great pride in her profession, but her greatest job in the world was being a mother to Cole. She dedicated her life to her son, family and close friends. She was a true gift of light in many people’s lives.
At the request of Cheyanne, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel, 651 King George Highway in Miramichi on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1:00 PM. A memorial and celebration will also be held in Fredericton at a later date.
