PESCOD, Barbara (née Haystead) – Mrs. Barbara Pescod, surrounded by her loving family, at the Glen Stor Dun Lodge, Cornwall on Wednesday September 18, 2019 at the age of 94 years; Retired Kindergarten Teacher at Viscount Alexander Public School. Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Pescod. Lovingly remembered by her children David Pescod (Rose Anne), Michael Pescod (Megan), and Anne Petroff (John). Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren Suzanne (Ciaran), Bobby, Peter, MacKenzie (Kim), Tori (Basel), Laura (Jonathan), Jaimee; 5 great-grandchildren Leah, Trent, Sion, Nova, Jaxon; and additionally, 2 great-grandchildren expected in the near future. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Mabel (née Haynes) Haystead, and her sisters Isobel Black, Catherine McGlynn and Ruth Stone. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Glen Stor Dun Lodge for the wonderful care and attention afforded to Barbara these last few years. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Long Sault, Ontario. If so desired contributions in her memory to the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation ( www.cornwallhospitalfoundation ) would be appreciated by the family.
