SAWADA, Yolande – Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday August 20, 2019 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Michael Sawada (1998). Dearly loved mother of Michele (Mike) Koabel, Judy (Don) Olmstead and Gary Sawada (Michelle). Cherished grandmother of Dana (Aaron) Snyder, David (Tina) Koabel, Megan (Claire) Koabel, Chris (Aska) Koabel and Chris Olmstead. Great-Grandmother of Ethan Snyder, Olivia Snyder, Jakob Snyder, Addison Koabel, Arlo Koabel and Anniyah Koabel. Lovingly remembered by her 4 sisters and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 4 sisters and 5 brothers. Yolande was a very creative and talented person, especially when it came to her sewing, knitting, and countless crafts. Her favourite thing to do was spend time with her family. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, on Friday September 20, 2019 for a Funeral Service in celebration of her life at 11 am. An interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Yolande, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, and would be appreciated by her family.
