With hearts full of treasured memories the Grey Nuns announce the passing of Sister Germaine Roussel, on August 10, 2019 at Youville Auxiliary Hospital, St. Albert, at the age of 99 years.
Sister Germaine was born in Prince Albert, Sask. She joined the Grey Nuns in 1938 and served wherever the Lord sent her: St. Albert, Blue Quills, Biggar and Saskatoon. She was a tireless worker and a great advocate for the poor and handicapped people who needed her expertise.
She leaves to mourn, her Grey Nuns companions; her family: three sisters, Laurentia, Therese and Genevieve, several nephews and nieces, and many friends.
Reverend Ed Kosa, OMI will celebrate a Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
The Grey Nuns wish to thank the staff of Youville Home, Unit 5 who cared for Sister Germaine for ten years.
