With broken hearts we say goodbye to a truly special man. Rob left this world in the arms of his soulmate and wife for 39 years, Bonnie (Brittain). Rob was a very proud father to his children James (UK) and Jenny, brother to most-loved sister Janet (UK), adored Papa to Selena, devoted Godfather to Mackenzie, uncle to 5 remarkable nieces & nephews and a faithful friend to Wanda and Charmane.
His passion was his 1959 MGA Twincam, his creative talent was brilliant as was evident in his successful career with his company, « The Media Centre » and « Discover Barbados TV ». His sense of humor was legendary, and he was the definition of a perfect gentleman. His heart remained in his adopted homeland of Barbados where he lived and worked for 30 years.
Rob has been cremated and will be laid to rest with his mother and father-in-law Dorothy & Russell Brittain in the Princeton Cemetery. He will also rest with his mother, Evelyn Davis in Cornwall, UK where his family spent many happy times and he will find rest and peace in Barbados at a special place he knew as “the top of the world.” Over the past several months Rob has been cared for with compassion and professionalism at John Noble Home. Rob and I would be profoundly grateful for any contributions made to the Alzheimer’s Society as they continue their research in finding an elusive cure.
