Madeline (Hewitt) Vaters
Passed away at the Health Centre, Fogo Island, on August
26, 2019, Madeline (Hewitt) Vaters, in her 78 th year.
Madeline was predeceased by her parents, Minnie and
Heber Hewitt, brothers Harry, Owen, and Ayris, and
sister, Mabel. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving
memories, her husband, Walter, of 52 years, daughters,
Joanne (Kenneth), Lorie (Dwain), and grandchildren,
Rebecca, Ally, and Xander; three brothers, Benson
(Wilhelmina), Gerald, (Marjorie), Canon David (Shirley);
sisters, Golda (Rex), Marlene (Reverend Dr. Robert),
Maisie (Robert), and Christine (Harvey); brothers-in-law
Graham, Gerald (Ivy), Alexander, Clayton (Marilyn), and
two sister-in-laws, Elsie and Mable. Also, a large number
of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Resting at the Fogo Island Funeral Home until Friday,
August 30, 2019. The service will be at the Church of the
Holy Spirit, Friday, August 30,August 30, 2019, at 2 P.M., with
Reverend Charlie Cox officiating.
