Louraine Jennifer Ifill was born to the late Moses Oliver and Joyce Oliver in Georgetown, Guyana, Louraine migrated to Canada in 1976 and lived in Hamilton where she married her husband Morris Ifill. From this union of 42 years came her daughter, Chanté. Louraine went on to earn several certificates and degrees in Hamilton and Toronto and the family moved to Windsor, Ontario in 1991 were she worked as a Custom Broker at Livingston International until her illness.
