Loretta Biggin nee Skeard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loretta Biggin (Skeard), 74, of Daniel’s Harbour, NL, on August 25th, 2019 at Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook, NL.
Leaving behind to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Evelyn (Bruce), Dwane (Carolyn), Dwight (Sherry), and Wallie (Tanya), her grandchildren: Pamela (Nick), Jennifer (Chris), Alicia (Fred), Kaleb (Bailey), Dion (Ashley), Desiray, Felicity, Samantha (James), Michael (Victoria), Jake, and Luke, her great grandchildren: Isiah, Dillan, Kayleigh, Jaxon, Kamryn, Austin, and Samuel. Loretta is also survived by her brothers Lorne (Lena) and Kevin (Minnie), sisters-in-law Clara, Nina, Katherine, and Elaine as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and her faithful campanion Sandy. Loretta was predeceased by her husband Winston, father Freeman, mother Evelyn (Parsons), step-father George, father-in-law Archibald, mother-in-law Evelyn (Biggin), grandson William, brothers; Enos, John, and Wallace, brothers-in-law; William and Edward and special aunt Ethel.
The family will receive family and friends at Holy Cross Anglican Church, Daniel’s Harbor, NL, on Tuesday, August 27th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and also on Wednesday, August 28th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. with the funeral service taking place on Wednesday, August 28th at 2:00 p.m. with Catechist Nora Shears, & Millicent Payne, officiating.
Keeping with Loretta’s wishes cremation will take place with an interment to follow on Friday, August 30th, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
Thank you to the many home care workers, cancer care staff. Hospital and palliative care workers their professional help and loving care.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Holy Cross Anglican Church, Daniel’s Harbor, NL, the Breast Cancer Foundation of Canada, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
