Linda Lou Jensen

Linda passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on August 14, 2019. Linda was born March 2, 1955, in Kinistino, Saskatchewan. She lived briefly in Lynn Lake, Manitoba and moved back home to Weldon, Saskatchewan where she attended school and graduated from Birch Hills High School. Linda soon met the love of her life, Leroy, and was the perfect wife to him. Their lives were soon blessed with two children, Robin in 1974 followed by Scott in 1978. Their family was complete when she was blessed with her grandchildren whom she held so dearly and loved more than anything, Sydney in 2000, Matthew in 2003, and Lucas in 2016. In 1984, Linda moved with her family from Weldon to Prince Albert where she provided child care until her children graduated and her raising of them was complete. Linda then found employment at Ben Moss Jewelers, Prince Albert Pulp Mill, Pineview Terrace, and finally Dietary at Victoria Hospital. She made many friends along the way that she thought of as family. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed watching softball that Leroy was involved in either coaching or umping, and watching her grandchildren playing sports where she would cheer her heart out whether it be Sydney playing volleyball, or Matthew playing hockey or lacrosse. Linda was eagerly looking forward to retiring in March of next year but sadly she lost her courageous, and fierce battle with cancer before this could happen.
Linda was predeceased by her parents: Fred and Kathleen (2011); her father: Murray Hope (1962); mother-in-law: Eleanor Jensen (1984); father-in-law: Wilfred Jensen (1988); her nephews: Paul Dustow (2010) and Cole Dustow (2012); and grandson: Lucas (2016).
Linda is lovingly remembered by her husband: Leroy; daughter: Robin; son: Scott; granddaughter: Sydney; grandson: Matthew; sister: Norma (Brian) Leland; brother: David (Dorris) Hope; her sisters: Judy Hope-Johansen, Lee-Ann (Reg) Dickie, Lisa (Darren) Peterson; her aunt: Judy (Berry) Gross; her brothers-in-law: Don, Orville (Lee) Jensen; her sisters-in-law: Janice (Howie) Makely, Lynn (Mervin) O’Niel, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, friends and loved ones.
