Today a limb fell from our family tree but the roots remain strong.
On August 6, 2019 Karen Elizabeth (McCracken) Dawson transitioned to heaven. All of us family, Cam, Tarah Barwise, Jennie (Jeremy Smith) and Seth Thomas (Molly) as well as 5 grandchildren, brothers Danny (Evelyn), David (Jane), Paul (Verna) and sister-in-law Rose McCracken with their families will miss her love, laughter, energy and most sincere hugs anyone could receive. A waiting Karen in heaven are Jim and Sadie McCracken, Joan and Irv Dawson, brother Tony and son-in-law John Barwise and many other friends.
Anyone who met Karen, whether friends in faith, from work as a hairstylist, volunteer or even for a brief moment she would say “I hope you are a hugger” and then hug them.
Visitations will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville, NB on Friday August 9, 2019 from 3pm-6pm. The funeral will be on Saturday August 10, 2019 at 11am at Patterson United Church with Rev. Susan Gamblin and Rev. Arnold Godsoe officiating. Internment will be in the Rockland Cemetery in McAdam, NB.
