Jim Rogers
William James “Jim” Rogers, age 66 of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice on August 10th, 2019. Born in Palmerston, May 19, 1953, son of the late Elwood and Marion “Gene” (Rock) Rogers. Beloved husband of 43 years of Elsie (Cassidy). Loving father of Jason (Theresa) and Kyle. Cherished Grandpa of Bella, Zevia and Falyn. Brother of Barbara Ross (Terry) and uncle of Todd (Karen) and Andrew (Ellisha). Predeceased by a brother-in-law Gus Cassidy. Jim was happily involved with anything to do with Bella, Zevia and/or Falyn. You could often see him at the Arena cheering the girls on with Hockey or at the fields for Soccer, Baseball or Cheerleading. They were his pride and joy and he was always there to support them. Jim was an avid fisherman, when not watching the girls with their sports and activities he could be found teaching them to catch the next big fish. Jim worked at AccuMetal in Stratford for 47 years as a machinist. Jim’s family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the entire staff and many volunteers of the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. Their compassion, warmth and amazing support will never be forgotten. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held in the Reception Centre of the W.G.
