Shediac, NB – Jean Paul Boudreau, 67, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2019 at
the Moncton Hospital. Born on July 11, 1952 in Shediac, he was the son of the late
Alphonse and Catherine (Bourque) Boudreau.
He is survived by five sisters, Annette Richard (Emile), Olivette Arseneault (Denis),
Alphonsine Babineau (Roger), Claire Fournier (Philippe) and Emilie Cormier
(Denis); two brothers, Pierre M. Boudreau (Rose-Marie Landry) and Evérard
Boudreau (Diane); brother-in-law, Gaetan Babineau (Yvette) and sister-in-law,
Norma Taylor-Boudreau. He was predeceased by his sister, Rose-Marie Babineau
(Gaetan Babineau) and sister, Jocelyne Boudreau.
Jean Paul graduated from LJR High School and completed one year of studies in
Arts at the University of Moncton. He was a founding member of La Coopérative
de Théâtre l’Escaouette Ltée and worked as a performer and creator for 3 years.
He worked in Louisiana (CODOFIL) for a year. Subsequently, he travelled and
worked in various tourism and service industries in western Canada and in
Shediac. He really enjoyed his final job as Attendant at the Shediac Bay Yacht
Club. He was dedicated to his work, friendly and appreciated for his services.
Throughout his life, he pursued his personal interests in nature, gardening,
photography, and the environment. He was caring for his many friends and
appreciated the support and encouragement they provided him in difficult times.
The family would like to extend special thanks for the excellent care Jean Paul
received from the doctors and nurses of the Oncology Department of the
Moncton and Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospitals and the Extra-Mural Program.
Also, special thanks to friends, Denise Doiron, Patrick Breau and others who
provided much appreciated help with a great number of rides to medical
appointments in Moncton during his illness.
In respect to Jean Paul’s wishes, there will be no visitations. A funeral mass will be held at the St-Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Shediac on August 23, 2019 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the Centre Pastoral next
to the Church.
Donations in Jean Paul’s memory to the Maison Nazareth or the Canadian Cancer Society
would be appreciated by the family.
