We the family deeply regret to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt; Jean Madeline (Dupuis) Phalen on Friday August 21, 2019 at the Dulcina Hospice in Calgary, Alberta surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer over the past year. Jean was born March 17, 1952 in Old Aberdeen Hospital N.G. and came to live in Airdrie, Alberta to be close to her children: daughters, Melissa Phalen, Kim (Drew) Diamond and their children, Declan and Munroe; her son, Freddie of Ft. McMurray, Alberta, and his son, Vaughn. She is also lovingly remembered by her father, Andy Dupuis Stellarton; brothers, Louie (Nancy) Dupuis Trenton, and Andrew (Joyce) Dupuis Trenton, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Marj (Kehoe) Dupuis. Jeannie got her most enjoyment watching her family and friends enjoy her amazing cooking and baking. She loved bird watching and could name their species. Wildlife took her breath away when she saw their beauty. Jeannie worked at the Cozy Corner in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia where she conversed with many friends. She took a break to raise her children with tremendous love. She returned to work most recently at the Superstore Bakery in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia and Sobeys in Airdrie, Alberta. Jeannie will be greatly missed by all who truly loved her for the kind, soft hearted person she was. Jeannies cremated remains will return to Nova Scotia at a date to be announced later.
August 21st 2019
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Jean Madeline Phalen..
