Allen; Dr. Hugh Arthur James – Retired Mathematics Professor at Queen’s University. Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Lennox & Addington County General Hospital on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the age of 80. Cherished husband to Ruth (nee Burke) of 38 years. Loving father to Ted Allen of Kingston, Michael Allen (Donna Vidas) of Vancouver and Janis Allen of Smiths Falls and step-father to Lynda Cachia (Michael) of Fort McMurray, AB and Jack Lippett (Dobbie) of Virginia. Sadly missed by his 8 grandchildren including Peyton McEwen and Brady McEwen and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Peter Allen of Toronto and late Helen Heubi. Fondly remembered by his many extended family, friends and colleagues. Aquamation has already taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
