Helen’s Obituary
Wilson, Helen Mildred (MacKay) – 92, Dartmouth, passed away Monday, August 26th, 2019 in Dartmouth General Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Albert and Ora (Bell) MacKay. Born in Brockton, Mass., she moved as a child to Nova Scotia. Helen worked on the family farm in Rockley and married Silas Wilson in 1948. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Frank) Kerfont, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Judi Kerfont (Wayne Shattler), Barrie, Ont.; Christopher Smith (Roxanne), Kanata, Ont.; Samantha Kerfont (Ryan Hennessey), Greenwood; Brittany Kerfont (Matthew Meekison), Dartmouth; five great-grandchildren, Liam, Stone, Kyleigh, Jordyn and Silas; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Silas Wilson; daughter, Judith Ann Halley; sister, Dorothy; brothers, Jim, Ernie and Douglas. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed immediately by a service at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 29 in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, 5075 Main Street, Oxford (902-447-2930).
