Obituary of Gary Thomas Joyce
It is with heavy hearts, and appreciation for a lifetime of memories, that the family of Gary T. Joyce announces his passing, which occurred on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on February 21, 1953, he was a son of the late Francis and Helen (Gaynes) Joyce.
Gary will be missed by his wife, Gloria E. (Sherwood); his son, Lee Joyce (Jennifer Smiley); step-children, Shelley Melvin (Barry Fowler) and Paul Melvin (Jennifer); grandchildren: Kaydence, Brayden, Brandon and Jarrod; a sister, Pamela Saulnier (Andy); as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by a sister, Carolann Mah.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (634-7425). Family and friends are invited to a time of remembrance and refreshments on Thursday, August 1, 2019, from 1 pm to 3 pm in Brenan’s Bay View Reception Centre, with a funeral service to follow in Brenan’s Bay View Chapel at 3:00 pm. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
