LANGLOIS, Fern Gerard (July 25, 1941 – August 29, 2019)
After a courageous battle with cancer, Fern passed away on Thursday, August 29th, 2019 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Gail Langlois for 57 years. Loving father of Christina (Graham), Darryl (Cory) and Glen (Sheryl). Cherished grandfather of Brittany, Tyler, Matt and Blake. Dear great grandfather of Serena, Niko and Theo.
Fern was a valued employee of Air Canada for 29 years. He retired early to begin his new job as a full time golfer at the North Bay Golf and Country Club. Fern also enjoyed travelling, biking, and watching his beloved Toronto Blue Jays.
Fern’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Road. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 299 Airport Road, on Thursday, September 5th, 2019 at 11:00 am. Mass will be followed by a reception at Hillside.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation (Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre) in Barrie, Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
