Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. Elsie Nekrashewicz at the age of 79 years beloved wife of the late Archie (Arkady) Nekrashwicz. Cherished mother of Mary-Anne (Daryl) Alvaro, Vera (Chris) Buttrum. Proud and devoted grandmother of Matthew and Sarah Buttrum. Predeceased by her brothers Paul Baziuk, Peter and Bo Piwtorak. Elsie will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and wonderful circle of friends. Friends and family will be received at Holy Cross St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church (572 Penetanguishene Rd,) Barrie, Ontario on Tuesday, August 20 from 2 – 8 p.m. with a Requiem Mass held at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 10 o’clock. Interment will be held in York Cemetery Toronto. Memorial donations the Kidney Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
