Donald Carter passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Viola, son Eric, daughter Gail (Dale), grandchildren Kyle (Alicia), Brandon-Lee, Erica Dawn, his brothers Dave (Maxine), Dorman (Pauline), Derek (Shirley), Monty (Shirley), and his sisters Mary-Lou (Bill), Ann-Marie, and Diane (Walter), as well as his brother-in-law Robert Rodgers (Winnie). He is predeceased by his son Anthony, Father John Thomas, Mother Annie Short, mother-in-law Olive Rogers, father-in-law Silas Rogers, sister-in-law Veronica “Ronnie” Rogers, and brother-in-law David Rogers. We would like to mention Jim and Flo Loughlin as special lifelong friends of Donald and Viola. A special thank you to Dr. Lorena Power, as well as the nursing staff on floor 3 and palliative care of Western Memorial Regional Hospital. The cremation has taken place as per the family’s request and service will be held at Parsons Funeral Home on Saturday August 31st at 11am. There will be no viewing before the ceremony.
