Dennis E. Smith
1944-2019
Dennis Edward Smith, 75, of Elgin, NB,
passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Saint John Regional
Hospital with his family by his side. Born on January 31, 1944 in
Petitcodiac, NB, he was the only son of the late Jim and Annie
(Geldart) Smith.
He worked all of his life as a self
employed log truck driver and woodsman. Denny was just as much a part
of Churchill as Churchill was of him. The sugar woods on the hill was
more than just a hobby, it was a time enjoyed with family and
friends.
Denny is survived and sadly missed by
his wife of 51 years, Kathleen; daughters, Tracy (Stephen Gogan) and
Kelly (Marty) Keith all of Petitcodiac; his grandchildren, Gabe,
Madalyn, Brynn, Thatcher and Jonas.
Family will receive relatives and
friends at Armstrong’s Funeral Chapel, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac
(756-3361) on Wednesday, August 21, from 1 to 3 pm, followed by a
Graveside Service at Maplewood Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Stephen
Brown.
