Obituary for Deborah « Debbie » Ann Pieters
After an admirable battle with cancer, Deborah passed away at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at the age of 59. Loving mother to Thierry and Alexander. Predeceased by her mother Theresa Crowe (née Leblanc) and father Reginald Crowe. Beloved sister to Ann, Richard (Shelley), Robert, Kathleen (Dave) Campanaro, Jennifer, Susan (Christopher) Morley, Ronnie, and Janis (Napoleon) Wilson. Debbie will also be missed by all her nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless good friends and co-workers. Special thanks to her bestie Janice Milligan, who always managed to make Debbie’s smile even brighter. We will all miss that warm, beautiful smile. We will also miss Debbie’s extraordinary sense of humour and positive approach to life, which she displayed right to the end. Debbie recently retired from Health Canada after 28 years of service in which she served as a Senior Program Officer/Inspector for Health Canada. A Celebration of Life will take place at Michelangelo’s Banquet Centre, 1555 Upper Ottawa St, Hamilton, ON, L8W 3E2 on Wednesday, September 18 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton would be appreciated.
