Obituary of Cory Cameron Croy
Cory was born in North Battleford and grew up in Humboldt. He loved the small town feel where everyone knows each other. He joined Tae Kwon Doe, eventually earning his green belt and was also involved in Cadets for a couple of years. He loved physical exercise. Cory was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 14. He played Mohawk football through grades 9-12 and in 2016 he graduated from high school. Cory loved reading and was a skilled writer especially in poetry. He loved making people laugh with his corny jokes and quick wit and enjoyed spending time with his siblings. He had a soft gentle soul. Cory was always going for long walks, loved the outdoors, comics, horror movies, karaoke, games of all kinds, spending time with friends and had a real knack for debating. He will truly be missed by all his family and friends. Gone but never forgotten. Cory is survived by his mother Crystal Cory (Philip) of Saskatoon; father Jay Croy of Battleford; siblings Richard Croy, Owen Washburn and step-sister Shelby Schreiner; grandparents Dale Glover and Sandra Zaback of Saskatoon and Marlene Germoshied of North Battleford; great-grandmother Ruth Zaback and uncle Allan Glover of Calgary, AB. A gathering to remember Cory’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 12:30 pm from Elim Church (419 Slimmon Rd.)
