Tina (68) was born at the Blackfoot Hospital in Siksika, Alberta to her mother Emma and her late father Christie Red Gun. Tina went to school n Siksika (Crowfoot Residential), Vulcan and Drumheller before completing her Bachelor of Social Work Degree at the University of Calgary. She was passionate about advocating for children. Her career took her to work in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. In her spare time, she loved her podcasts about Bigfoot, reading her murder-mystery novels, beading, sewing and spending time with her family and her beloved pets Josephine, Viddy and Coco.
Tina was predeceased by her father Christie Red Gun, brother “Buster” Melvin Red Gun, and sister “Cindy” Lorna Duckchief.
She leaves behind her 104 year old mother Emma Red Gun, siblings “Bones” Lawrence Pantherbone, Patsy Pantherbone, Errol Olds, and Dexter Red Gun; her beloved children: Christopher (Lori), James (Jamie), Glennis (Tim) and Montana (Graham). 10 grand children and 3 great-grand children.
We are so heartbroken that we have lost her. Even though cancer gave her quite the battle, it never broke her spirit. We will strive to live our lives with compassion for those who need a voice, like she had done all these years. We are very proud of her.
In her final moments, she shred a tear. We are sure it was at the moment she saw the Creator and all of her loved ones. I’m sure that the love of her life (dad Glen Schultz) was right there to greet her and bring her home.
