Bert’s Obituary
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Bert Ronald Moores, on Monday, August 5th, 2019, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook, NL, at age of 97 years.
He was blessed with three beautiful women in his life. The late Marjorie Moores (nee Gale), wife of 40 years and beloved mother of his sons; David and Bruce, and loving grandmother to his grandchildren; Ronnie and Kim, the late Hazel Bennett (nee Hoddinott) wife of 12 years, and mother of his stepson; Ray Bennett, and Gladys Heath, his partner and loving companion of the last 16 years of his life and mother of Jackie and Peter and grandchildren; Adam, and Isabella. He had five great grandchildren; Brittany, Mark, Olivia, Rachel, and Jack, Also left to mourn his daughter-in-law; Leah, brother; Frank, and sister; Ruby, and his sister-in-law; Frieda and their families. Bert was predeceased by his parents; Cuthbert and Edith, brothers; Roy, Eric, and Glenn, and sister; Marie, and his daughter-in-law; Princealine. He also had a large circle of friends on the Island and in Labrador.
In keeping with Bert’s wishes cremation will take place and the family will be having a memorial service at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, in Deer Lake, NL, on Friday, august 9th, 2019, at 2:00 pm, with a private Inurnment service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice in Bert’s memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
