It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Austin Simon at his residence on Sunday August 25th 2019 at the age of 70 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Betty, son Lee (Berlynn) in Stephenville, daughter Miranda( Terry) in New Minus, four grandsons: Oliver, Jovy, Easton, Hunter and one granddaughter Rio. Also leaving to mourn his five brothers Raymond (Leona) , Mark, Herman(Marietta), Jimmy all in Cape St. George, Clatus in Sudbury, five sisters: Carrie(Ronald) , Cindy in Fischelle’s, Linda(Robbie), Judy(Michael) in Campbell’s Creek, Victoria in Cape St. George and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Bertha Simon and his brothers Kevin and Calvin. Visitation will take place from Russell’s Funeral Home on Tuesday August 27th from 2-4 and 7-9.The funeral service will take place from St. Stephen’s Parish on Wednesday August 28th at 10 a.m. with interment in the Hillside interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway. Austin will be remembered always as a kind, polite, Supportive, loving husband, father and Poppa…. The world was a better place because of him.
