‘Nettie’
“Nettie” Alliston (nee Harris), formerly of Meaford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 28th, 2019 in her 94th year.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Jack Alliston on May 31, 2011. Nettie’s abundance of love for her children Doug, Glenn, and Sue, their spouses and children, was given dearly and unconditionally. Nettie always greeted everyone she met with her beautiful affectionate smile and cheerful hello, whether it be in the office of Nettie and Jack’s Imperial Oil Agency, The Meaford Express, indoor bowling, lawn bowling, playing cards or Bingo or assembling a puzzle, she would always give you a warm, happy welcome, living by her motto, “The most precious gift you can give is your time”.
Interment shall be private, however, Nettie’s request for her remembrance is to go out and have some fun as we don’t stop playing because we grow old: we grow old because we stop playing. On line condolences may be expressed at www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca
