Mrs. Rose Emily Frison passed away at the Rivercrest Care Centre in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta at 5:20 P.M. July 16, 2019, at the age of 102 years.
She was born November 15, 1916 to Anton and Magdalena Kudel, Alberta pioneers who farmed their homestead located about 20 miles south of Provost, Alberta, and was baptised at St. Norbert’s (Rosenheim –“home of roses”, which may have had something to do with her name!)
After proving up his homestead, Anton bought a new farm adjoining the south side of the village of Primate, Saskatchewan, and moved his family there in 1918. Rose and her 3 younger siblings (John, Theresa, and Mary) were then able to attend school in Primate, where they all excelled.
Rose’s life, from those early days right until the last, has been one of total love and unwavering dedication to her God, her family, and her community. She leaves us with a powerful legacy of faith, hope, and love. We can all take great comfort in the certainty that her loving spirit lives on in the peace and happiness she so richly deserves.
Rose leaves to cherish her memory her children: Eugene (Deanna), Jeannette, Richard (Beverley), James (Debbie), Joseph (Debbie); 14 grandchildren: Trisa, Cathy, Alan, Marie, Suzanne, Grant, Lisa, Sharon, Krista, Sheena, Chad, Jodi, Justin and Jesse: 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; her sister Mary and her sister-in-law Marge.
Pre-deceased by her husband Joseph in 1986; siblings: John and Theresa.
A celebration of Rose’s life will be held at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 10004 – 101 Street, Fort Saskatchewan at on July 26, 2019. Interment will be at the Provost Cemetery on July 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
Rose will be best remembered by passing on an act of kindness to anyone, at any time.
