Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peggy Rideout announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Home in Stephenville Crossing on Saturday, July 13th 2019 at the age of 69 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her devoted and dedicated husband Ivan in Stephenville, her daughters Michelle Donahue (Jonathan) in Edmonton, Alberta, Nicole Rafferty (Jeffrey) in Corner Brook, and not to forget her son Dwayne who has been missing since 1999. She leaves behind four grandchildren, Jenna Donahue in Edmonton, Alberta, Alyssa Donahue in Toronto, Ontario, Riley Rafferty in Borden, Ontario and Logan Rafferty in Corner Brook. Also leaving to mourn her eight brothers: Toby in Lourdes, Myles (Mary) and Monty in New Ross, Nova Scotia, Roland in Espanola, Ontario, Barnell and Vaugh in Bay Port, Nova Scotia, Glenn in Sarnia, Ontario, and Sean in Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, her sister Shirley Hekkema in Prince George, British Columbia and her father Joe in Chester Basin, Nova Scotia, along with a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Angela Duffenais, and three brothers, Wayne, Ricky and Greg. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home on Thursday July 18th from 11am-1pm with a service following at 1 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Huntington’s Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
