Mrs. Jean Alberta Umscheid, of Milo, passed away at the Vulcan Extendicare on July 28, 2019 at the age of 90 years. Jean was born in Olds on August 28, 1928. She raised her sons in Calgary and then moved to Milo after marrying Larry in 1974. Jean will be dearly missed by her beloved husband of 44 years, Larry, her son, Blaine (Mary) Walden of Whitehorse, Yukon, and Larry’s family: Judy Lucas and her children: Marla, Brett, Flint and Rusty; Randy (Trisha); Kevin (Yvonne) and their children:… Read More » Damon, Maurissa and Kole; Cindy (George) Andrews and their children: Shilo and Lindsey; Kendal (Nora) and their children: Kallum and Alasdair as well as 19 great-grandchildren. Jean will also be missed by her niece Diane (nee: Kraft) Robert Bowman of Edmonton, great-nieces, great-nephews and their families. Jean was predeceased by her sons Harold James Walden in 2016 and Donald Brent Walden in 2017 and son-in-law Wayne Lucas in 2017.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Milo Community Hall, Milo, AB. on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Sue MacDonald D.M. officiating.
