Guy J. Lavoie
1938-2019
Mr. Guy J. Lavoie of Grand Falls, NB, passed away at the Grand Falls
General Hospital on July 20, 2019.
Mr. Lavoie was born on October 17, 1938. He was the son of the late
Fidèle and Ida Lavoie. Mr. Lavoie leaves behind his wife, Ida
Lavoie (Rossignol); his sons, Robert Lavoie (Lise) of Edmundston, NB,
Marco Lavoie (Tina) of Drummond, NB, Eric Lavoie of Grand Falls, NB;
his brothers, Réjean Lavoie of Ottawa, ON, George Lavoie of Grand
Falls, NB, Michel Lavoie of Montréal, QC; his sisters, Ginette
Parent (Joseph) of Grand Falls, NB, Pierrette Lavoie of Montréal,
QC, Delvina Lavoie of France; six grandchildren, Corey, Shawn, Danika,
Fanie, Zack and Maude.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 2 pm from the
Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Grand Falls, NB. Interment will
follow in the St-André Parish Cemetery. The family will receive
condolences at the back of the Assumption Catholic Church on Friday
from 1-2 pm.
Mr. Lavoie was a member of the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, Council
#2331 of Grand Falls.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Friends of the Grand
Falls Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the
staff of the Grand Falls General Hospital and the Edmundston Regional
Hospital for the excellent care given to Mr. Lavoie.
