Anthony Tony Frosty Frost August 27 1955

In Celebration of
Anthony (Tony) «Frosty» Frost
August 27, 1955 –
July 12, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Anthony Frost (Tony) aka ‘Frosty’ at his home on Friday, July 12, 2019, at the age of 63.
Tony was the youngest of three born to Edie and Joseph (Joe) Frost in Newmarket, Ontario on August 27, 1955. He grew up in Toronto and resided in Mississauga for the last 20 years.
Tony was employed by VIA Rail Canada as Locomotive Engineer; a job that he truly loved and took great pride in. He was considered a true professional and was well-respected in his profession. His long railway career began at CN Rail 45 years ago.
Tony had many interests. He was an ardent reader, gardner, loved sports, and was an avid hockey player and was very proud to have played for the Toronto Marlies in his early years. He was also a devoted fan of his Toronto Maple Leafs, Everton Football team, and Formula One Car Races. He also enjoyed spending time in his backyard oasis and tinkering in his beloved shed. But most of all, he adored his family and cherished every moment spent with his many friends, especially Jack and Kevin (Duke). He welcomed new friends with open arms and was always willing to lend a helping hand where needed. Tony always filled any room with warmth and laughter. His loved ones will deeply miss his warm hugs and quick wit. His love, pride, and devotion to his British heritage and family members in Liverpool was unfaltering.
Tony leaves behind to cherish his loving memory: mother Edith; spouse Suzanne; fur-babies (Sophie and Spencer); dear brother Mike (Debra); mother-in-law Grace Dychtiar. He was a loving and caring brother-in-law to Terry McGrath, Paul Dychtiar (Janice), Peter Dychtiar (Diane), and Kara McCabe (Pete). An Irreplaceable uncle to Joseph Michael and Jennifer Lynn Black (Robert), Stephanie (Greg), Shayna (Matt), Peter (Lindsay), Tomas (Brittany), Brody (Natalie), and Mikayla (Michael). Tony was predeceased by both his father Joe and sister Ann.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ‘Neweduk-Erin Mills’ Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (east of Erin Mills pkwy), on Tuesday from 2-4pm & 6-8pm.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2473 Thorn Lodge Dr., Mississauga on Wednesday at 11am.
For those who wish, donations may be made to the Humane Society.
A very, very special thank you and deep gratitude for all the love and support shown to me and Tony over this last little while. Special mention to my sister Kara and brother-in-law Pete McCabe, brother-in-law Terry McGrath and good friends Carol and Kevin Donegan. I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for us. Thank you for being the soldiers on the front line in the face of this battle – he was the ‘Warrior ‘. I love you guys and will never forget your love and kindness.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and all who knew him.
Cheers, My Love
‘VIA 219, you are clear to stop.’
Ps. Go Leafs Go!
