March 04, 1970 – June 15, 2019
In loving memory of Troy Johnathan Jolicouer who passed away unexpectedly on June 15, 2019 at the age of 49.
Troy is survived by his children Reece and Rebecca Jolicouer, mother Vickie Kocuiba, father Armand Jolicouer (Maureen) and siblings Angela Jolicouer, Rob Kocuiba, Karen Kocuiba, Cathy Winter (Mike), Paul Hester, Allison Dubreuil (Rob), Angie McCleary (Bill), Dan Jonassen (Ashley Harrison), Scott Jonassen and Kayla Jonassen (Dave Keffer) as well as his children’s mother Rachel Peterson and their grandmother Rita Peterson. Troy was predeceased by his step-father Orest Kocuiba, all his grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.
Troy loved spending time with his children Reece and Rebecca. They were the light of his life. He had just been to Reece’s high school graduation and was so proud of the man he was becoming. Rebecca had just finished her first year of high school and he was excited to see what more she would accomplish in life. Troy loved his family and friends and would go out of his way to help any of them. Whether it was fixing things, advice or even just a visit, he would drop everything to help out. Troy would give anyone his last dollar, even if it meant borrowing it from his ma! All you had to was ask and Troy was ready to help! Every year when he was young he would go out and cut down the family Christmas tree and every spring Troy would bring his ma pussy willows.
Troy had a zest for life! He loved to fish and go camping and anything outdoors. He was an avid outdoorsman and very resourceful. One time while fishing with Marty, they ran out of bait so they used Cheezies and caught their limit! When he was younger, he would race motorcycles and would also get himself into mischief. He liked to build forts with his friends, catch critters and then release them and one time brought shells home from a trip to Newfoundland and stored them under the porch and no one could understand where the smell was coming from! Troy had a fondness for cats and dogs as well. He had many pets throughout the years, usually more than one at a time. When he had to move for a job he knew that his sister Angela would lovingly adopt Jake, Hershey and KitKat. He had a soft heart for his furry friends. Troy especially enjoyed his time with Bernie and had a very special relationship with Rita and Wilbert Peterson.
Troy loved his work. He had a Red Seal for Refrigeration, Heating and Cooling. He even had his own business when he was younger. Although away for work a lot, he always made a point to come home often to see his family.
Troy will be greatly missed by all his relatives and friends. No more pain! Rest in peace “Sonny Boy”.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
