It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Sharda Madiratta announces that she peacefully crossed over on the morning of Monday, June 10, 2019. Sharda was the third oldest of six children. She completed degrees in Political Studies and Education before meeting her husband of 61 years, Satya Paul. They both led successful careers as teachers before welcoming their only son, Nitin. As a family, they relocated to Canada in the late ‘60s, eventually finding their long time home in Weekes, SK. Sharda and Paul eventually settled in Saskatoon in the ‘90s to be closer to Nitin and his two children, Naval and Monique, who they cared for as their own. As their kids grew, Mama and Papa were always quick to offer love, support and guidance. Mama always made sure every guest in her home was well fed and well loved. She was a fierce protector with never a negative word for anyone. This kind, gentle soul will live on through all the lives she touched, especially her devoted husband, Paul; her son, Nitin (Terry); her grandchildren Naval (Jessica) and Monique; and her sister, Kiran Taneja. The family wishes to thank the staff at Home Care and Seniors First for their help in allowing Mama a peaceful passing in her own home. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to Parkinson’s Canada (www.parkinson.ca/) or just offering an act of kindness to those around you.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Sharda Madiratta 2019..
