Peacefully, at the Peterborough Health Science Centre with his family by his side, on Thursday, June 6, 2019 after a brief illness. Edward Francis Gaffney of South Porcupine at age 87. Beloved husband of Kay Gaffney (McLaughlin) and dear father of Deanna Blain (Chris) of South Porcupine and Jennifer Krumins (Ivars) of Peterborough. Grandfather of Danielle Roy (Randy); Nicole and Jared Zuliani; and Karli, Kieran and Kaiya Krumins. Great-grandfather of Hannah Roy. Brother of Cyril (late Rita) of Pembroke and the late Gwen Donohue (PJ); Raymond (Pat); Jerry; Gracia Howard (Jim) and Gus Gaffney (Helen). Brother-in-law of Doris Burt (Lawrence) of St. Albert Alta; George McLaughlin (Dovie) of Lakefield and the late Clare McLaughlin (Eleanor of Napanee). The family will receive friends at the HANNAH FUNERAL HOME in Tamworth (613-379-2997) on Tuesday evening June 11 from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Assumption in Erinsville on Wednesday, June 12 at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment follows at the Assumption Cemetery Columbarium. Memorial donations (by cheque) made to the Assumption Church Building Fund or (by cheque or credit card) to the Lennox and Addington County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
