E. Ferne’s Obituary
EASSON, E. Ferne ~ Age 86, of Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019, at home. Born in Windermere, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Edward L. and Greta L. (Rainforth) Ryerson. Ferne had trained as a C.N.A. at the Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick, and was employed there for a number of years until starting their family. She was a long-time member of Berwick Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school and had sang in the church choir. Ferne was devoted to her family, friends and community. Surviving are children, Bryan (Margaret Anne) Easson, Kingston; Christopher (Beth) Easson, Aylesford East; Kimberley (Colin) Palmer, Saskatoon, Sask.; Karen Gray, Hamilton, Ont.; grandchildren, Adam (Leanne), Amanda (Tim), Bailey, Cain, Lauren, Emily, Carter, Samantha and Bella; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Tanner, Eliott and Graham; brothers, Frank Ryerson, Simcoe, Ont.; Kenneth (Pauline) Ryerson and Neil (the late Joy) Ryerson, both of Auburn; sister, Julia Kadie, London, Ont.; sister-in-law, Ida Ryerson, Auburn; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Philip H.E. “Phil” Easson; sons, Kevin and Richard Easson in infancy; brothers, Ted and Elroy Ryerson. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service followed by a reception will take place 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, in Berwick Baptist Church, 265 Commercial St., Berwick. Rev. Evan and Rev. Kayla Colford officiating, with interment in Morristown Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, donations in her memory may be made to Berwick Baptist Church, Valley Hospice Foundation or QEII Health Sciences Foundation (Cancer Care).
