It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Carol Lorraine Reid, age 88, on Monday, June 24, 2019, at Harbourstone enhanced Care in Sydney. God has called another Angel home. Carol was loved by anyone who had the great pleasure of knowing her.
She was a wonderful mother to her sons Pat and Stephen, daughters-in-law Jean and Debbie, and wonderful grandmother to her beloved Matthew and Harlen. She never got to know her great-grandson Atlas, but we all know he would have been the apple of her eye.
Carol is survived by her sons Patrick (Jean), Bras d’Or, and Stephen (Debbie), Dartmouth, and Glen (Collin) Spryfield, grandson Matthew (Crystal), Dartmouth, great-grandson Atlas, sisters Greta (Ron), and Donna, nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Jean Reid, who was her best friend.
She was predeceased by her husband Al, parents Ned and Kathleen Cooper, and brothers Ken and Bill.
To the staff and friends at Harbourstone Enhanced Care (MacDougall Court), there are no words to express how you made our journey so much easier. You became our family, as well as our friends. We will never forget you. Thank you also to the doctors who cared for Carol. To anyone who touched her with love, kindness, respect and compassion, we will always be thankful.
